Duplicate Voter Identifier (DVI)^TM software, uses fuzzy logic algorithms to match Indian Names. The software detects if the a person with same father's name and a similar age is listed at multiple places in the Voter's List.

The software can match different spellings for the same name like: Beena and Veena, Mohd. Qadir and Md. Kadir, Agarwal and Aggarwal are matched by the software.
